to. >> commissioner antonini. >> my sediments are the same particularly with january 31 because we're off on the third and i realize it's not the holiday but i know staff has to prepare and the first would cut into their preparation for having a hearing on january 3 but i think we should add the 31 so we have four in that month. i don't think if it doesn't fall on the day that we meet we shouldn't take it off with the exception of the first day of chanukkah was on the five of december and i think we would have that off because i think the holiday is celebrated over a period of days but the first day is the most important and that is up to the discretion of the commissioners and i'm not sure where we could add anything back because we have the holiday at the end of december and early january, so we might only have two hearings in december of this year. >> commissioner board. yeah, i think we want to be. >> >> respectful of the holidays that fall within that window. i would say we meet more often than the board of supervisors in terms they have weekly meetings and the last meeting is th

was a request by the commission -- i believe commissioner antonini, for us to briefly re-cap what western soma is proposing in the overlap area and what the sort of the draft preliminary concepts are for the central corridor planned area so i will do that briefly, and you can see up on the and you have in the packet a comparative map showing the proposed western soma zoning on the left and the current draft concepts for the central corridor plan on the right, and the overlap areas are outlined in red there, and just important to clarify the overlap area is more than four blocks. i keep hearing that term. it's more to six to eight blocks. six whole blocks and a couple partial blocks. by in large south of harrison street the western soma plan proposes the sally zone with the exception with the areas along townson street and that district. north of harrison street the plan proposes the western soma mug, mixed use district and the concepts developed for the plan include south of bryant street considering mixed use office for the areas in western soma would be sally or western soma mix

closed. commissioner antonini. >> yeah, i think this is very good legislation and it brings us closer to reality because there are many people who own their cars and want their cars in their residence or close to their residences. there is increasing number of people that can get along without a car or fewer cars in a family but need the accessibility for groceries and other needs and child car and realistic parts of life, so i think that adding additional car share spaces to future projects without having the sponsor to diminish the number of spaces makes total sense to me and i think the staff's modifications are fine with two exceptions. the first exception is i'm not sure that i like the idea of mta being able to come on to private property to enforce whether these pods are used for car share or not. i think that some sort of reporting by the zip car or other car share agency who is using these for their cars be it photographs of privately parked cars or others in there, then that could be -- they could then be cited. i think that private property is not the place to have o

commissioners. commissioner antonini. >> thank you. a couple of things and i think most of my concerns were more properly be brought up during the project itself because they have to do with the zoning. however, there was mention of in a spur letter that had to do with the interest in there being a supplemental eir. it does not affect the certification of this eir, but basically what they say in their letter is that they are concerned, and this fits into some of my later concerns, that a supplemental focus for this eir be done in addition to this to help determining what properties are eligible for state or national registry, and i think that's a very good idea, but i don't believe that we have to take that up at this time. i might ask for some advice from the city attorney in regards to that particular issue. >> deputy city attorney. i'm sorry would you mind repeating the question. >> well, the question is this and it's two fold and i'm going to do the same thing with the central corridor, but it was recommended that by spur, and i am sure others have spoken to the same thing, that we
